Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel deep learning architectures for cognitive AI systems
- Lead NIH-funded research projects on brain-computer interfaces
- Publish 3+ top-tier conference papers annually (NeurIPS, CVPR, etc.)
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Translate theoretical models into production-grade AI solutions
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants
- Collaborate with neuroscientists to validate AI models against fMRI data
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Neuroscience, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of applied ML research with TensorFlow/PyTorch
- Published work at NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR conferences
- Expertise in reinforcement learning and unsupervised representation learning
- Strong background in computational neuroscience or cognitive modeling
- Proficiency with high-performance computing clusters (SLURM, Kubernetes)
- Experience securing government or industry research grants
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
