Apex Financial Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in New York City. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing strategic insights to management.
Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in general ledger accounting and financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Manage general ledger accounts, perform account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis and cash flow projections.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
- Support the budgeting process and assist in the development of long-term financial forecasts.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
