Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret continuous cardiac telemetry data to detect arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide compassionate education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to code blue and rapid response events, demonstrating leadership and clinical expertise.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS preferred for telemetry units.
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care or telemetry nursing experience.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong proficiency in computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills under pressure.
