Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered oncology care including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and palliative support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to acute changes with swift, evidence-based interventions
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, medication management, and home care strategies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure strict compliance with JCAHO standards
- Participate in tumor board meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts with BLS certification
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years oncology/hematology nursing experience
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC experience a plus)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to navigate complex emotional situations
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments
