Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient vitals to identify changes in condition.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Documentation: Document patient care accurately and timely in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Patient Education: Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Compliance: Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
