Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and report significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient recovery.
- Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and progress notes.
- Assist with procedures and support the nursing staff during high-volume shifts.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or similar acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle critical situations with composure and professionalism.
