Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.</li><li>Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, adhering to all protocols.</li><li>Monitor patient vital signs, document observations thoroughly, and promptly report any changes in patient condition.</li><li>Educate patients and their families effectively on health conditions, prescribed medications, and essential self-care techniques.</li><li>Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.</li><li>Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date electronic health records (EHRs).</li><li>Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and quality.</li><li>Actively participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Valid and current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.</li><li>Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of recent, acute care experience in a Medical-Surgical unit.</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities with a patient-first approach.</li><li>Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard hospital software.</li><li>Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical environment.</li></ul>
