Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and formulate individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously; initiate emergency response protocols when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters, assessments, and interventions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and case managers, to ensure holistic care.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York required.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
