Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns immediately to the appropriate clinical team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation of all patient care activities and interventions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in New York State.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
