Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately while strictly adhering to safety protocols and medication reconciliation.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Emergency Response: Quickly assess and respond to critical changes in patient condition, initiating life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, discharge instructions, and preventive health measures.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; CCRN preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in a Medical/Surgical setting.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with EMR systems, and exceptional communication abilities.
- Attributes: Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high emotional intelligence and resilience.
