Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Operate and monitor life-support equipment, including ventilators and infusion pumps.
- Assess patient status continuously and respond effectively to sudden changes in condition.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during critical care transitions.
- Maintain strictly sterile environments and adhere to all infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PCCN certifications required.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively under high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically Epic.
