Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document the condition of critically ill patients in real-time.
- Administer complex medications, monitor intravenous drips, and manage ventilator support settings.
- Collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and codes, providing advanced cardiac life support as needed.
- Educate patients and their families regarding medical conditions and post-discharge recovery procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile protocols and hospital safety standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and clinical rotators within the ICU department.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification is a major plus and encouraged for all applicants.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered, empathetic care.
