Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, continuous nursing care to critically ill patients requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer complex medications, infusions, and life-support measures according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Utilize advanced medical technologies including ventilators, CRRT machines, and cardiac monitors with high precision.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Offer emotional support and clinical education to patients' families, ensuring they are informed and empowered throughout the care process.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews to maintain the highest standards of care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is required.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or a valid Compact State license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or a high-acuity Critical Care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking in high-pressure medical situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration and patient advocacy.
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is highly preferred but not required at the time of hire.
