Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.</li><li>Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.</li><li>Monitor vital signs, interpret EKG readings, and manage complex life support equipment.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.</li><li>Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.</li><li>Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records and documentation.</li><li>Respond to emergency situations and initiate life-saving measures as necessary.</li><li>Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.</li><li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Critical Care setting.</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.</li><li>Demonstrated strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.</li><li>Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic.</li><li>Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.</li></ul>
