Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information accurately.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and complex treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to develop and execute personalized care plans.
- Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Advocate for patients and provide emotional support to families during critical medical events.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe environment to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing education programs.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective family and team interaction.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
