Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, adjusting treatments based on real-time data.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-saving treatments with clinical precision.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and respiratory therapists, to develop individualized care plans.
- Operate complex medical equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Advocate for patients and provide emotional support to families during critical health transitions.
- Maintain strictly accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Mentor nursing students and junior staff members to foster a culture of excellence.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU, CCU, or high-acuity setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification preferred.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically Epic or Cerner.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
