Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, interpreting complex physiological data.
- Administer advanced medical treatments, including ventilator management and continuous renal replacement therapy.
- Collaborate closely with intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring clear communication and emotional support during high-stress situations.
- Document all patient care activities in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with precision and timeliness.
- Maintain high standards of sterile technique and infection control protocols.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification is highly desirable.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to function effectively under pressure.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced team environment.
