Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, adjusting medical equipment as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Provide critical bedside care and support to patients recovering from complex surgeries or acute illnesses.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers to develop individualized care plans.
- Maintain precise electronic health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on care procedures and post-discharge recovery.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including cardiac arrests and respiratory distress.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and PCCN/CCRN certifications are required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to advocate for patient needs.
