Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement specialized nursing care for critically ill patients.
- Operate and monitor life-support equipment, ventilators, and infusion pumps.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists.
- Maintain precise electronic health records and documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Administer advanced medication protocols and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing councils.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic assessment.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to act calmly in emergencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
