Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information with precision.
- Manage complex mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of vasoactive drips.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including intensivists, respiratory therapists, and surgeons.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during critical care transitions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established safety protocols.
- Maintain rigorous infection control standards and sterile field maintenance.
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies as part of the specialized ICU team.
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity unit.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive under high-pressure circumstances.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and technical proficiency with EHR systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
