Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vitals and adjust treatment plans using high-acuity medical equipment.
- Administer complex medications and intravenous therapies with precision.
- Collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists to manage ventilator settings and emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) in real-time.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during critical transitions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing education workshops.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred.
