Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and record patient vitals and physiological changes, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
- Operate and interpret advanced medical equipment, including ventilators and bedside monitors.
- Collaborate effectively with attending physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialized medical staff.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Serve as a primary advocate for patients and their families, ensuring emotional support and clear communication.
- Maintain precise documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or high-acuity critical care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (or eligibility to obtain within 6 months).
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure, emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative patient care.
- Proficiency in standard clinical software and EHR documentation systems.
