As an ICU Nurse with us, you will work with advanced monitoring technology and evidence-based protocols to provide critical care to patients in their most vulnerable moments.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions.
- Continuously monitor patient vital signs and manage advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and titration of IV drips.
- Collaborate effectively with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and surgeons to execute complex care plans.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document clinical progress with high accuracy in the EMR.
- Educate patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing councils.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, aseptic techniques, and regulatory hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU, Step-Down, or CCU setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (preferred).
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to function calmly under extreme pressure.
- Proven ability to advocate for patients while communicating effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
