Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, direct bedside care to critically ill patients with life-threatening conditions.
- Continuously monitor and adjust specialized medical equipment, including mechanical ventilators and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
- Administer complex pharmacological interventions and titrate vasoactive medications based on real-time hemodynamic data.
- Collaborate dynamically with a multidisciplinary team including Intensivists, Respiratory Therapists, and Pharmacists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform rapid clinical assessments and initiate immediate life-saving interventions during cardiac or respiratory arrest.
- Maintain meticulous clinical documentation and patient records within the Epic EHR system.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and clinical education to patients' families during high-stress situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited university.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas or a recognized Compact State.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care ICU or High-Acuity setting.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Advanced proficiency in critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and clinical judgment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is highly desirable.
