Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical changes in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Adhere to all infection control policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current New York State RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience (ICU/Telemetry preferred).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
