Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and clinical conditions continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding medical conditions and discharge instructions.
- Document all patient encounters, observations, and interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and critical incidents within the ICU unit.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care or ICU setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
