Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vitals and respond immediately to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit rounds.
- Assist with code blue activations and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care or telemetry setting preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting patients.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong emotional resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
