Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters.
- Administer complex medications and intravenous therapies with precision.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and respiratory therapists, to develop individualized care plans.
- Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and dialysis machines.
- Act as a primary patient advocate, ensuring emotional support for patients and their families.
- Maintain precise electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification is highly preferred and incentivized.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and commitment to patient advocacy.
