Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department setting.
- Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments, including triage and vital signs monitoring.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed by attending physicians.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain precise, real-time electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, treatments, and medical protocols.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies and code blue situations.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in an Emergency Room or critical care setting.
- Proficiency in using modern Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a deep sense of empathy.
