Responsibilities
- Assess patients' medical histories and current health status to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly following safety protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, escalating urgent issues to the medical team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and post-procedure care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the electronic health record.
- Respond to emergency situations with composure and clinical expertise.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care or emergency setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional standards.
