Responsibilities
- Assess & Treat: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, formulate individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time, strictly adhering to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and facility standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to critical situations and code blue events, demonstrating advanced life support skills.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions to promote recovery.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of New York.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required; CCRN preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, specifically within a Critical Care or ICU setting.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/Cerner), and excellent communication abilities.
- Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
