Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions closely, intervening immediately when necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient data accurately and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training sessions.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ontario, Canada.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent nursing degree.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or critical care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Canadian work authorization and proof of immunizations.
