Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on best practices.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient progress closely and respond immediately to changes in clinical condition.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical findings in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in New York State (NYS).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care or progressive care setting.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
