Responsibilities
- Assess and Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations with composure and expertise.
- Documentation: Maintain precise, up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care or medical-surgical setting.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a strong patient-centered approach.
