Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, escalating concerns immediately to the attending physician.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide compassionate education and emotional support to patients and their families during critical times.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and care provided.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a critical care, ICU, or progressive care unit.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
