Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to interventions in real-time.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during critical moments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Critical Care Unit (ICU/CCU) or Emergency Department.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
