Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, strictly adhering to hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
- Monitor patient vital signs and conditions continuously, escalating critical issues immediately to the medical team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and therapists to optimize patient recovery trajectories.
- Provide compassionate education to patients and families regarding cardiac health, medication management, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (or compact state) required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Cardiology or ICU.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to perform under pressure in high-volume environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
