Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments with precision and patient education
- Monitor patient responses to treatment protocols and adjust care plans collaboratively
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families throughout the cancer care journey
- Coordinate discharge planning and transitions of care with community resources
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to evidence-based practice standards
- Participate in tumor board meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (required)
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years oncology/hematology experience
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification (or commitment to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong assessment skills for symptom management and treatment side effects
- Experience with infusion pumps and chemotherapy protocols
- Exceptional communication skills for sensitive patient conversations
