Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and symptom management
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans with oncologists, social workers, and palliative care teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, medication management, and home care
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment using advanced EHR systems
- Lead patient advocacy initiatives and participate in quality improvement projects
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with JCAHO and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts (or compact license)
- BSN degree with 2+ years oncology nursing experience
- ONCC certification (OCN preferred) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in chemotherapy administration and infusion therapy
- Strong proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with oncology-specific patient education tools
