Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to strict medical protocols and evidence-based practice.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, escalating concerns immediately to senior staff.
- Provide compassionate patient education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations as required.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance patient safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current NMC (Nurse and Midwife Council) registration in the UK.
- Valid registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RN).
- A recognized nursing qualification (BSc, MSc, or Diploma in Nursing).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification preferred.
