Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical examinations and documenting medical history, symptoms, reaction to treatments, and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations with rapid assessment and intervention.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, management, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Critical Care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
