Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in a 24-bed ICU unit
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret diagnostic results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and case managers
- Implement evidence-based practices and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
- Participate in rapid response team activations and emergency interventions
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Valid Illinois RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care experience
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and critical care monitoring systems
- Strong assessment skills and ability to prioritize complex cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
