Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions
- Administer medications and interventions per physician orders with precise accuracy
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ECG rhythms, and ventilator parameters
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions in Epic EMR system
- Educate patients and families on disease processes and post-discharge care
- Participate in rapid response and code blue activations
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license required
- BSN degree from accredited program (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU or critical care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
