Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced critical care to post-cardiac surgery patients in 24-bed ICU
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data responding to arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans including physical therapy and nutrition
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize Epic EHR for patient documentation and care coordination
Qualifications
- Current NYS RN license with BSN required, MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac focus
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking skills during emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills for patient/family education
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
