Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients across diverse specialties (cardiac, neuro, surgical)
- Administer complex medications and therapies including vasoactive drips and ventilator management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using evidence-based practice protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Provide family-centered education and support during high-stress situations
- Mentor junior nurses and participate in unit-based training programs
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred
- 2+ years recent ICU experience with ACLS certification
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and critical care documentation
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Excellent communication abilities for family/stakeholder interactions
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and point-of-care ultrasound
