Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in ICU settings
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs using advanced monitoring systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in EHR systems
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years ICU experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ICU or cardiac care experience
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
