Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced critical care to diverse patient populations including post-op, cardiac, and trauma cases
- Monitor and interpret complex patient data using advanced telemetry systems
- Administer specialized medications and treatments with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions using Epic EMR
- Mentor junior nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment interventions
Qualifications
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (MSN preferred)
- Current NY RN license with ICU certification (CCRN)
- Minimum 3 years ICU or critical care experience
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Proven ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
