Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in our 24-bed ICU
- Administer medications and treatments with precise attention to dosage protocols
- Monitor and interpret vital signs using advanced monitoring systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions with meticulous detail
- Educate patients and families on post-ICU recovery procedures
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and NY State Department of Health standards
Qualifications
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program (MSN preferred)
- Current New York State RN license and BLS/ACLS certification
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience in acute care setting
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and critical care monitoring technologies
- Strong clinical judgment with experience in ventilator management
- Exceptional communication skills for high-stress environments
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) highly desirable
