Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care assessment and intervention for complex patients
- Administer medications and treatments with precise attention to protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Operate advanced medical equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors
- Document patient progress accurately in Epic electronic health records
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations with calm, decisive action
Qualifications
- BSN degree with current NY RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience in acute care setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (maintained)
- Strong proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Demonstrated critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for patient/family interactions
- Experience with Epic EMR and computerized medication administration
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
