Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care nursing for post-cardiac surgery patients
- Administer complex medications and monitor hemodynamic parameters
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient-centered care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EPIC system)
- Lead rapid response team activations during emergencies
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to JCAHO and CMS protocols
Qualifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Current IL RN license with ACLS/BLS certifications
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience with cardiac focus
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
